Does anyone remember these names ????

I started this radio hobby back in the 70's and 80's when the skip was rolling.
I was driving a truck from Georgia to the Great Pacific Northwest. Then started
a run to Montane for a few years. I was normally out for a couple of weeks.
Back then, there was a lot of activity on 25.865.
Some of the folks you would talk to a couple of times a week were :
Poppa Union - Minden, La
Tom McCoy _ Louisville, Ky
Taxi Driver _ Ft Myers, Fl.
About every truck diver knew these guys and they helped up keep up with each other. They 10-5'd many messages for us.
There were many more but those I remember.
I got QSL cards from around the world.
Anyone else here remember doing this ? Add their names.

Did you ever hear Reverend Leonard in The Magic City around 1988? Pipe fitter behind Eastwood Mall?

Silversagle1,
I don't recall Reverend Leonard.
Jesseejamesdallas, I've talked to you before.
MDYoungblood, you are too young to be having memory issues.

I got in a habit of noting who I made contact with back then.
I filled up a big note pad but now I can't find the pad. Bad memory. LOL

That's possible...I been around since the 70's...just never kept up with people I've talked too...If I did, and I listed the contacts end to end the list would stretch from Texas to the Moon and back at least 5 times...

Sorry, I couldn't find a way to edit my post due to spelling. I must have typed on my Phone. I'll try to touch up my post since some words are misspelled.
I ran to Montana for a few years. Then truck driver not diver.
There were more of course. One was 321 Pinball , JR and many more. The McCoy's out of Kentucky. I guess my memory is getting bad too. LOL
Fun times back then. Some of the radio Tech's back then were top- notch. Everyone had their favorites.
I still have some of my old radios and a Cobra 29 w/ low channels, and FM General Lee, Connex 3300HP, Ranger 2950 , Stryker 447HPC2 and Stryker 655HPC.
Amps : Yeah I've had a few. Palamar 350 tube amp. Texas 350 and 667V.
Gray 350, DaveMade 400, Magnaforce 900. All the above is mobile stuff. I never had a base except for once I had an old Starduster antenna and a 12 volt car battery. Now I have a Trip Lite PR-10b that I have never used. LOL. Maybe someday.

Anyway, y'all have a great evening.
672 WarEagle and I'm back quite.

@silvereagle1

I uploaded a list of commonly censored words and someone thought fitt was or could be used as a bad word.
I removed it from the list.
