Swr meter issue
I just received a micronta 21-523 meter from eBay. It looks brand new. No wear and tear. But when I hooked it up to 2 different radios I switched it to calibrate and then to SWR but it seems to be reading calibration while still in SWR. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix the issue

Re: Swr meter issue
There are a lot of those older meters floating around on different selling platforms.
Its really not worth fixing as to replace it is fairly cheap.
But try to make sure you are on the right power level ! Check for pep and avg for your mode of operation. Basically make sure it is set right.
Those meters are easy to damage if you or someone over powers the meter by where it is set too.

Re: Swr meter issue
Thanks. I'm just getting into the hobby. I hardly know anything about how to work on CBs or their equipment. I did take it apart but it all looks factory and really clean inside. I just ordered another SWR meter. Some Kris brand I know nothing about but I have my fingers crossed.

Re: Swr meter issue
My guess is it has been sitting for quite a while the switch has residue on the contacts. Try working the switch a couple dozen times or maybe some good contact cleaner (for electronics) on the switch to see if that helps.
