New SWR/PWR Meter
I just hooked up my new LP-500 digital station monitor from Telepost with the optional 3kw watt coupler which is optional. They also make a 5kw and a 15kw coupler. I chose the 3kw coupler since I will be running lower power. It's a great meter! What a difference compared to analog. The numbers are big for forward/average power and also for the SWRs. It is easy to hook up and easy to put personal preferences in the set up menu. For those not familiar with a coupler, think as it as a remote head meter on the table and the coupler is a metal small box behind the desk that the radio or amp plugged into one side with the antenna plugged into the other. You can also program your "handle or numbers on the meter in the left lower corner of the screen. You can pick them up at a few CB shops on the internet or places like Ham Radio Outlet.
