Okay so I am setting up my previously retired Realistic TRC-465 AM/SSB + Realistic 21-1175 Power Mic rig for use as a base station, including a 12v power supply (duh), and a dipole antenna.
I am in an HOA, so I can't have the dipole be too terribly obvious. I have a good tall ash tree in the back yard and am wondering HOW to get the dipole run up into the tree...
How far off the ground should it be if I want to run it vertically up this tree?
How can a fat guy with an arthritic back manage to get this thing up there?
Setting up a former mobile as a base. Help!

Hey…
Cut a hole in a tennis ball and run an end of your dipole thru it and throw it up in the tree as high as you can get it.
Another idea is to figure out a way to ‘slingshot’ it up there.
I have a 5 band vertical dual dipole antenna that is actually mounted on the ground in between a cluster of juniper trees. My HOA can’t see it.
Good luck
