I see people on here trading/selling antennas and I'm wondering how do you ship them ?

The Wilson whip is not heavy but a 5ft it won't fit in a standard box.. So how are y'all shipping these things ?

well I have recieved them 2 ways .....
First way
In a round tube ( Cardboard) .....or some have used a piece of PVC Pipe ...tape the ends up and stick a label on it

I have also recived them coiled up in a square box ....I got a wilson 5000 from a dealer and when I got it I couldnt believe the whip was in the box ....it was a 16X16 box or so ...and there was no damage to the whip :)

Bending it in the shape of a "U" or "O" would allow you to fold a cardboard envelope around it. Tape the ends so it can't poke out. Tape the edges of the envelope and voilla'!

To be absolutely SURE, buy the end caps for the PVC. UPS has been known to cause the whip/antenna to come OUT thru the end, they slammed it so hard! :x I quit using UPS at all!
