Northstar ns 9000 Talkback needs to shut up

Well, the topic lead tells the story. they routed the talkback through the echo control and when i am running down the road, its useless. I cant even turn the echo on without feedback from the mic. I would like to know if someone can direct me to where to clip a wire (aside from that big red one going in the back of the radio...)

I don't understand why folks WANT 'talkback'. I mean, it would be annoying to me! :D Make me think my radio is mockin' me!

As soon as I read the first part of the post I thought "He needs to talk to Big Bopper" There was a post about adding talk back maybe you good look at that post and reverse the steps.

I use it to set the echo on my radio then I turn it off. Other then that I would guest it's personal preference. But being I'm CB'er, I'm not all that smart....

this was a good way to end a long day. i think the 4th post answered the 2nd, to set the echo. but when the echo switch controls the talkback too, well now, that was just kind of dumb, though alot of set ups do that. And as for that talkback setup post, i was the one that asked that one too. lol. different radios work different. and i hadnt got into this radio yet, so thought i would try to milk another answer out of big bopper,. lol...

I know how to convert the Northstars, but not sure on talkback,,,soory, you have me on that one

What kind of mic are you using? I've seen talkbacks that squeal with crappy mics, but sound amazing with a 636L or an RK56.
