2x8?

What kinda amperage alt am i guna have to have to run a Dave Made 2x8 or EastCoast 2x8? I have this 87 K-5 Blazer with a 350 in it so it should be easier to get a bigger alt fit in there than the ole Yota just need to kno what i need to start lookin and saving for.

I had a fatboy, draw was 60 amps Continuous, and about 170 to 180 during mudduck smashing, I think Eastcoast draws over 200 amps, more like 220max

Thanks Bopper i think i am gona go ahead and try the DaveMade 2x8 i wuz on the phone with Mike not 30 minutes ago and ordered a DM 2x8 and come time to pay for the mudduckplucka and i noticed my freakin credit card wuz expired and i called the credit card company they acted like they didn't know it wuz expired they showed it to still be active so now i gotta wait 7-10 days before i get my new card in the mail. They told me it may still work but not to try it since the card date is expired it might not work i said well NO CHIT u would think they would be on top of things like that i guess i shoulda been on top of it myself i don't hardly ever use it so i just didn't notice but you woulda thought they would have.

if ya want to and ya have the extra money get a motor maul from fatboy they make two versions 200 and 400 amp any thing up to a 2x8 you run the 200 amp W/two batteries... after that it's all about the 400 amp and with the 400amp you can safely run a 24 pill box of the 400amp motor maul and run four batteries preferably optima yellow tops the total cost of these set up is going to run you about 2700.00$ for everything and thats for the 400 amp maul, the 200 amp maul is cheaper by 2 to 3 hundred dollars i've done four of these set up's for my friends in there cars and let me tell you it ain't no joke they get out real well they have no problems walkin the dog on people out there in the sf bay area and when they get up on the hills out here some times people just dont bother talkin at all!!!!

i don't really think i wana go that far out there to pay $2700 just to run my amp i think i can probably get me a 250 amp alt and maybe an extra optima battery and be good i can't really see me goin any bigger than a 10 pill in the near future anyway.
