WOW skip was AWSOME in ohio lastnight

I am new but i shot skip for the first time last night, made contacts in w.v, n.c., s.c., n.y.,n.j.,c.t.,r.h.,t.n., and would you believe i hit 311 in Honolulu Hawaii and Jamaican bacon in Jamaica and i hit the Philippines. keep in mind i was in my pickup. :D

Hey Skeeter sound's like you had some Great Condition's last night ! I like DX'ing out of my Truck I find the highest hill & park, I run a Cobra LTD ST with a Stock CA-73 Mic. with a Texas Star Mod V and a Antron Mobil Antenna, I like your Mobil Set-Up and It seem's to be working Good for you "You had some Great contact's Hawaii & the Philippines what Freq. was you on ?" ! most on channel 20 only bad thing is that is a local channel and the natives get restless when i start stomping all the local traffic.

i love it when skip rolls on channel 20 then the ducks on 19 begin to cry
about bleed over
the ducks really complain when i go out in my mobile and i bleed from 1 thru 40 then some
but oh well don't hate the player hate the game is what i say

Wow great talked to Philippines , I never talked to them on any frequency.
Nothing here last night, and this am east coast and puerto rico in, but found out I wasn't hitting the kicker good, had turned the power to 2 watts on the hr2600 so I had to turn up a weee bit to 4 watts now the kicker is alive....

Got a few guys on FM 35-40 miles away, first ever contacts on FM on chnl 40..crystal clear..
