Adjustable output power?

#53973

Post by The13Bats »

I am new here but old to CB's I really have just started into tuning,
I never run kickers ,
Ok, you know how some radios can be peaked out,
Lets say you now have your base putting out 100-150 watts,
I know that could be on swing and less on dead key,
My question is about the power output,
Can it be controlled with a knob ?
For example, all you need is 5 watts so you have the knob down low and then noise rolls in and you wanna twist it up a few is this possible or practical?
Thanks
P.

Depending on the radio, you could put a SparkTune in it,

Yea I have the sparktune modulator installed on my radio and it works great. not only doesn't it produce a very loud radio but you can directly control your output power with it. As bigbopper once told me.. 50% modulation = 50% power. However this wont effect your DK power.
