I was wondering what opinions you guys have on what is the best power out to tune a 3900 to?
Or what they will actually tune to?
As we are in the UK IM talking of FM and USB output power.
Any input appreciated.

Power adjustment for AM/FM is VR13

Power for SSB is L44 and L42

Modulation is VR12

should get about 30 watts on a standard 3900

Look at Cbtricks, they might have a service manual,,,look under RCI

30 watts!!!!! LoL!!!! Someones got a really giving meter!!! I've never seen a single final radio do 30 watts, dual final yeah pretty close but not a single final radio, no way!!!!

Also you can clip R-249, but the VR's have plenty of modulation.

yeah r-249 and npc mod about 18 watts swing with a 2 1/2 watt dead key.Not 30 watts swing no way!!!
