hounddog. i got a scanner antenna that had like a lead in coax a couple 3 feet long, then it went to a coated flexable wire entenna with a suction cup at each end. just stick it on the inside of your window. heck as far as that goes you could use your radio antenna. now adays cars are harder to get to the antennas and most scanner antennas are of the bnc connector type any how. rat shack does sell a adapter to make it possible to use the radio antenna conecter. look on e-bay under scanner antennas and you can find one of the suction cup ones. they work really well

I have been looking also but not purchased yet...

Check the specs on freq range, and of course how ugly or fragile looking it is......

seems like some start at 30Mhz and some at 25Mhz if ya want to scan cb
you want the lower Freqs 27Mhz but may suffer the Higher i believe.

do a search for --- all band scanner antenna --- and you will get hits on a bunch.
