Forgot to mention my old uniden PC76 xlw that is down at the moment but plan on having it fixed soon. And the wife's honda civic hybrid (don't laugh, it gets good gas mileage) has a midland 1001z compact and a K30 antenna.

At present, the mobile is down. Soon, I will have my Uniden Grant XL back in, new(to me) Gator Made 1X4 and running through a new Wilson 5000.

Finally took a pic of the install, Stryker 440 P&T,FC 390 Counter, Astatic 636L, the wilson 1000 mag is on the roof and working on noise issues from the ??? alternator or the fuel pump before putting the RM Italy KL300P inline.

I run 87 octane in my mobile.

A Davemade, marine battery run in parallel and a Wilson 1000 for the time being. I am still building all the bracketry for the battery and box, it will be REALLY cool when its done!! Running fresh air ducts with fans to circulate air in the trunk around the box also, then adding another 8 to it!!!!

These pics are as I was installing the first box, it looks better now, but no peeking until the system is all done......

Up until last fall I was running a Phillipine Uniden PC78LTW with Astatic 636L, 250 watt linear and Wilson 1000 magmount in my Ram 2500. Sold it all as I needed the money more than the radio gear. Went back to running my Uniden PRO520xl until I was given a Cobra 29 NH ST. I'll be setting that up with a 4' Firestick on a fender bolt mount. At some point I may get the radio tuned and try different antennas. But for what I need it for it should be fine.

I will say that I really regret selling the PC78LTW. Got it off of ebay for $45-ish and it was absolutely MINT! Not a scratch on it, worked perfectly and looked sweet.

I have a Galaxy 959 with a RK 56 mic and a 108" steel whip I found in my buddy's salvage yard, peaked by me. It works great but I would like to have a small kicker of around 200 watts.

I'm showing finnish roads to my Wilson 1000 or 5000 on magnetic foot and a Diamond SperGainer 7900 dualband ham whip that's bolted on roof of a -90 Citroen BX. My co-driver is mostly a Yaesu FT-857 doing all the bands, or President Grant and a Zetagi B303. Yesterday I just got an MFJ-971 travel tuner that will fit somewhere, so when parked I screw off the Wilson and throw a wire to a tree to go multiband on HF.

-1 degrees Celsius at the moment, but no more snow!
