Re: Francis antenna
I Loved the old Francis Amazers my favorite!!! I would run them over any antenna including my ss 102". They haven't been made for years and not made right for even longer.
Does anyone know where to find a couple? I would Love to run them again.

Re: Francis antenna
Hi,
I have used Francis antennas since 1993. Currently using one daily on my Class A dump truck. I regularly speak back and forth with other drivers throughout the Capital Region of the state of New York. About a 20 mile radius. With my 60 - 100 watt radios, I have spoken as far away as Indiana, Maine, Alabama, North Carolina, Jamaica and the Virgin Island using my Francis antenna. Francis antennas do not have the external wire just on the top of the mounting stud, which usually breaks from rocking back and forth while driving, like you find on many current antenna.
Hope this helps
What ever antenna you choose? Good Luck and have fun!
Jim
