I used to have SSB numbers issued by the old S-9 magazine. They even sent me a certificate to hang on the wall but I can't seem to find since I have been away from CB for sooo long! :mrgreen:

Back when there were license's,you gave your number for local traffic. Since DX was illegal needed to make up a number so Uncle Charlie couldn't come and get you.
Hence 57 in the high country.

Hey another 'old-cb'er mine was KGN-3670.
In the later 70's I went by UNIT 26 BASE (I was 26 at the time).
I was and still a a gearhead and build my own motors so in appreciation of my newest motor I go by 406 CENTRAL ARIZONA (I live in Mesa, AZ).
Other than occasional skip the only thing I've heard locally was some DJ wanna-be playing country music on channel 32 a few nights ago.

4-3-8 out of WA. The numbers are from my old FCC license, KRM-0438 from back in the '70s.

2 7 0 i n central Virginia its the gun i use for hunting

Rooster is my dads handle and 2217 is his handle when running skip he got it from my grandpa old cb number. 2 7 0 said it and we gone..

Back in the '70's I went by Mighty Mopar (drove a 1970 AAR 'Cuda) and was licensed and barefoot as KAGT2549. Dang that was a long time ago...

Nowadays....

SteelGlide Seven Oh One, out of DFW, Tejas. Still barefoot, but ridin in style. :)
