672, WarEagle. NW Georgia.

Sometime back in the early eighties, I had a tricked out
Cobra 29 , low channels, etc and a Palomar 350 tube amp in my truck.
I was listening to all the skip back then and decided to see if my radio
was up to the task. I said, Break and a voice came back from South Wales, UK.
I got a good radio check and the guy asked my #. The truck I was driving was
#672 so I used it, still do. I had people calling 672 for over 30 minutes.
I was hooked, still am. LOL

I see a poll has recently been added.

Back in the day on AM I was MD (Maryland) Youngblood,, getting this handle is a story in itself. On SSB I'm 321, been 321 for ever (since the mid 60's). On ham I use my call naturally, (I'll PM that on request).

I may have mentioned but I have been going by WR 1582 or 223 from the Keystone.
Mostly been trying to break the bunch on 28 AM with my Direct injected Cobra 142GTL.
Sometimes I do get on 39 LSB with the President Washington and use WR Numbers or A numbers, which are the same.

73 ya'll. Hope to catch a few of you on the airwaves during a few of my down days. I work 3 days a week, sometimes.

Till later,

Mike
