I got a Sirio 5000 magnet mount to replace my 102" whip antenna. Works great.

Also my big purchase ($290) is a new Galaxy 959 custom built by lesters customs with their LC6400 board. It can go down to 26.065 to 27.975. Very cool radio. It has Schottky diodes in receive and nb circuit. I almost just went with a Galaxy 55hp but figured this 959 was unusual and had to have it.

Ignore above post. I canceled the less comm 959 and ordered a Galaxy 98VHP instead. $438.95 shipped. I think I'll like it much better than a modded 959.

Awww...I went for the RCI 2950DXv2 with an e-chip.

Just got from a friend a Cobra 2000GTL working fine. Frecuency Counter is not working but thats ok. AM and SSB are working 100%. Three switches on the back for extra channels.

Waiting for my new 4600 turbo from cb city. Ordered it three days ago so it should be here anytime. Going to keep my 4300hp as a backup after I send it in to cb city to have them put it back to the way it should be.

Got me Galaxy DX2517 a few weeks ago, not working, Just fixed it last night. Gonna talk on it some and sell it.

I got a cobra 2000 and a turner +3 in the last month.

Bought and put up a gain master. Best vertical I have ever had.

nice antenna, I have a gainmaster up 40' In a tree and a imax with gpk at 52' on a tower and at 40 miles to another base station they both do the same signal on transmit but on receive I get 1 s-unit higher from my buddy on the imax. everyone keeps telling me the fiberglass antennas are lightning rods,, also been thinking of trying a maco 5/8 or hygain p500 in place of the imax and see how an aluminum 5/8 would do.

Gainmaster 500, shooting star 225 plus and Blackcat JB-150? Blackcat has a keying tube but the other tube is a Sylvania so I'm not sure what size it is. Gainmaster is in real good condition!

I have been on a short wave listening kick and in the last month, have gotten a 1949 Hallicrafters SX-62A, Looks great after ten hours of cleaning, works like new.

just came back from a yardsale and scored 3 turners, a plus2, plus3b and a super sidekick all for 20 bucks, i wired the super sidekick to my superbase. not sure where i will place the other two yet.

I bought a Uniden 980ssb a couple months back, to get back into the hobby. It was a good radio, but it felt and looked like a toy. Everything was just too small for my fat fingers and old eyes. I sold it and bought a RCI-2985dx, NOS with the channel mods and I am hooked forever. Then I bought an old Fire Bird SWR/Modulation/Watt meter for $10 and a KL 200P given to me by the friend I bought the radio from. I bought an old Excalibur 125 from another friend and is now being rebuilt and should be back online by the weekend, with any luck.

In the mail is a 6 Pin RCI Ranger Custom SRA-198 Mic with channel buttons. I also stocked up on a 100 foot roll of COAX and 10 sets of silver plated PL-259's and some used barrel connectors, T's and 90's, cause they were cheap.

Gawd I love spending money.

I just bought a voyager VR-119 HF from ebay so I guess I can tell you about it in a couple of weeks,ha,ha

the voyager vr-119 turns out to be an awesome little radio. it has 240 channels am and 240 channels fm , is that awesome or what! it gets out real good, get good reports. talked to texas and south carolina

Friend had a texas star sweet 16 for sale so I took it off his hand this afternoon. Now going to decide if I am going to keep it or sell it.

I just picked up a galaxy 979 off the evil auction site, paid 110 (shipped price) for it with a Astatic 636. The Astatic needs a new cord, as its lost all its coiling, but that's a simple fix.

Used it for the first time this weekend, in the wife's car, with a k30 mag mount, and it's a good talking little radio... Except for when she tried to talk into the back of the mic

I bought a cobra DX 4 and a Cobra 19x. Both off of Ebay. They were in top notch condition and work perfect. Now I want a Ham base.
