Just picked up this case. My plans are to make a home base with it. Everything will fit inside. Gotta love trash days at work ;-)

Thanks. I'm loving it so far. Made some swaps and ended up with a like new, barely used rci 2990. So it pretty much replaced the 2995. So now I have both. [img][Please login or register to view this link][/img]

Just purchased a Galaxy DX2547. Having been out of the game for some 20 years or so I don't know what to expect when it arrives next week. I did notice the units I was familiar with were being sold as vintage sets. So, I guess we'll wait and see.

You'll like all the capabilities. Don't talk about that stuff being vintage that kinda dates us all, it's collectable

Soon fixed me up with an A99 to replace my almost 33 year old RS 5/8 wave ground plane that flaked out. Came over and helped me put it up too. I am back on the air after easy to many years.

I just got a whole bunch of new(to me) gear for FREE! Here's the list; D&A Phantom, Texas Star DX-350, Boomer TX-75, JC Penney 6237 40ch base, and an SBE Console II 23ch with a matching desk mic.

A relative of mine knows that I'm into radios and saw a bunch of stuff come up at an auction she frequents. She managed to score it all for $5 and gave it to me for free.

teaberry Tele "t" 23ch. $15 works now but 3w swinging 4-5W needs help LOL

Well I did it. I finaly sold one of my radios. Didn't really want to but the deal was too good to pass on. I sold one of my galaxy 44 radios for $50 cash, a d104, a pace 23ch cb124 and an almost new bostich air compressor with tools. The air compressor was the decideing factor since my mobile was at the house with a low tire. I have another 44 that I am keeping. And I AINT selling no more radios. They are for buying not selling but my friends 44 smoked up on him and I let him talk me out of one. Hopefully will buy the superstar 158 edx next week if I get a good week in. 73s :bounce:

finally got around to getting the rack gear up and running, now to spend weeks on end tailoring the sound, using it through the kenwood 590 via the accessory plug in the back of the set didnt sound right through the mic plug in front :icon_e_wink:

wish I could find stuff for $5, I saw some stuff at a hamfest a few weeks ago, must of thought all the people were dumb , selling vintage gear SBE for $50, and crystals for $10 each, I told him it was plain junk and moved on.... it wasn't even cleaned up , corroded with nicotine smoke..Anyhow nice gear you have, do not sell anymore KEEP IT.

Got in not one but two GE SuperBases within a week  one had to be tuned and the other had a loose wire into the bottom board, both work great now, selling one to a local, 2020 Cyclops here in Massachusetts .

Not new but, resurrected my Turner Expander 400 from the repair bin. The locals told me not to put the Red Devil back on it so I guess I did it right.
