A couple of RCI's: a 2950 and a 2970, Uniden Madison, Uniden Washington, Uniden Grant xl, a Uniden grey face 4 button Grant, a President Lincoln, couple of Cobra/Uniden am only small rigs, a handful of mics, astatics and a couple of Turners, a k40 mag mount, a used Wilson 1000, and in honor of Rat Shack, a couple am 40 ch cb's, a couple 40 ch handy-talkies, and a 4 ch-crystal scanner. I guess it's time for a yard sale LOL!!
I'd be interested in an old turner RK56 mic if it works and is not a new one you can get from flying j. let me know and I can thin out your list.
I only have one RK56 and it's hooked up to my vintage MB8719 Grant (grey face), I usually do a flea-bay search for "telex" in their Radio Parts and Accessories category and that should weed out the newer, less robust made in China mics. The original RK56s usually are embossed with "Turner by Telex" on the back of the mic. Even used Telex RK56s on flea-bay go for $30 and up, mostly up but worth it. The Turners I bought lately have been from the 1970s era amplified hand helds, that take the long discontinued 7v mercury batteries, but I tape together 5x1.5v LR44 button batteries to get the 7v. They're a little cumbersome when I wire them up for modern radios. Those Turners need to be rewired for electronic switching between TX and RX instead of relay switching. I've owned a Cobra 138XLR that uses relay switching and my base at the home QTH Realistic TRC 457 has a relay. The turner base mics, like the +2 SSB mic and +3 mic I have a switch on the bottom of the base for electric or relay switching. There are a few radios that use a relay for switching that are worth buying and restoring, like a President Honest Abe am 40ch, usually those radios have the UPD858 PLL chip.
Hope this helps.
What radio are you using that you'd like to find a Turner RK56 for?
EDIT..................
I use an Astatic Road Devil, the red one that is both noise canceling and amplified on my RCI 2950 and works well. Just my 2¢

Galaxy 48T. I use a SRA-138 now. Works well but need that RK56. The old ones still have the best sound for mobile CB imo. I tried a SRA-198 on my president HR2510 and ended up back using a $10 Super Star stock coffin mic. It sounded better on that radio. Need to find a working president stock mic for the 2510. Lost an
eBay auction on the one I found and regret it. I heard a TopGun made RK56 and it is damn close to an original and should have bought it. Bobs CB on I-80 exit 70 in PA is where it was. I will pick one up when I get back that way. Btw, that shop is best I've seen. Thanks

I picked up a Uniden pc68ltw and a Wilson silver load antenna. Ended up being gifted a Cobra 29 classic, Midland 1001Z, and a Wilson Little Wil. Now Im trying to decide if I should run the 3' silver load on a fender mount, or just stick the Little WIl up on the cab.

I purchased this tiny radio which has 3 different colors on signal register. I had to buy a microphone ; but was pleasantly pleased with it. It is a Cobra I never seen before and I collect cobra radio's. radio cost me $12, then $19 shipping and then the microphone from CB World. It came in the original box brand spanking new vintage radio. I have quite a few vintage Cobra radio's and all are in pristine condition. I would pay a little more to get what I want.

I picked up a few new toys recently...
I am also an ebay addict.....darn it, won another auction. Picked up a nice Prez Jackson (bands A to E) the other day. My luck is going to run out, ah the dangers of bidding/buying "For parts/Not working." Been burnt lately, but was my own fault, bought a "working" but sold as "parts only" Astatic 575M6B that was so hacked up that the only "good" thing about it is the mic housing. Need to quit while I'm ahead.

+1 on paying a little more $$ and ¢¢. I've been into vintage Cobra GTLs & XLRs lately, built like tanks and most of what I collect are 30+ years old.

Just picked up a GE Superbase. The screws look new, so I don't think anyone's been in this one. Any suggestions as to what amp goes well with it? Don't want too much, maybe 100W-250W max.

a local was gonna throw this tramD42 mobile in the garbage, i asked why and he said it didnt work, i told him I would take it for parts, i took it home, and put it on the bench, it powered up but had no sound and low output.
I also heard something rattling around inside, so i took it apart and low and behold it was the slug of the power adjustment can, I reinstalled it and adjusted for 4 watts
that fixed the output issue, then i looked at the speaker connection, the negative wire was off from it's board connector, put that back on and the speaker works fine. This has to be the easiest fix i have ever had. She talks real good and has quite the audio swing.
aLSO as promised in my last post, "which I cant edit in this forum section" here are the amp/kenwood and mk3 I recently bought.

Picked up a Pilipino Uniden PC78LTW. Guy said it was “tuned and peaked”. Come to find out it has a disco light in the meter, has a 2sc1969 Mitsubishi final, and some clipping and soldering. Have to wait till I get it opened up under a shop light to see what all’s been done to it. Seems like a strong radio from testing it in the truck earlier though. Something to tinker with

The 1969 final is a good one. Fix the clipping and it may have a swing kit or something. They are good radios and with that final should run strong. And remove the disco light for sure!!

Hopefully the mod limiter hasn't been clipped and the coils spread and slugs removed.

found out the uniden 78 has a swing kit, i see that R55 is clipped. tuning coils haven't been touched. vr4 and vr5 pots looked be dialed in and werent wide open. buddy giving me a sound check said it sounded ok from about a mile. Im gonna try it with a power mic when I get home from work tomorrow and see what kind of results I get. The meter only moves on receive, and it looks like it swings backwards on tx, never seen that before.

Picked up a New RCI 2980WX, it's going to be replacing my Cobra 2000 GTL for a while. Also a X Force X400-B (1x4) Base Amp (courtesy of Arlyn Mr. X Force himself)...Don't have the Amp hooked up yet, but made several DX contacts up to Maine and the Bahama's barefoot this afternoon after I got just the radio hooked-up and plugged in.

The most recent CB related purchase I made was a D-104 Silver Eagle mic. Since my Cobra 148 GTL DX+ has a mic gain control, I'll probably use the D-104 with my SBE Console VI. It has always been an awesome modulator with the SBE power desk mic that came with it, but I've used a D-104 on it as well with great results and feedback.
Now I just need to figure out which radio needs to move off the desk to make space for the SBE!

Acquired an upgrade to an old 6 pill Pirate amp. Just had SSB delay, Class C, Class AB, and thermal tracking added to an old amp along with tuning the input and output. She sounds super sweet now and the SWR's are tame NOW! She now swings to just/at about 100 Watt per pill rating and does not turn on my wiper motor no more in my old Dodge truck. Before this bleeding **Censored** would swing 1100 Watts, yes almost double the 600 Watts it should do.
One of the guys here on this forum has done the work and, he did a fine job too. I will be sending my next one as soon as he says to ship it. Fair price, fair turn around time, and an awesome job.
