has any one every used these in their setup? I think they area dry cell which would be good in the jeep, but they appear to really heavy duty with good capcity... 50amp for 1hr.

I don't even want to ask how much they want for those?? I've never used one but as you say in an off road vehicles they would be safer because of the dry cell design. No acid spilling on your head. Take a look at this battery. It might be more affordable. I don't know for sure. This is the brand I use but not this disign. I find the prices to be reasonable in what I use. I figure it would give you a second option if nothing else.

Those look a lot like the batteries available from Stinger. They are probably made by the same people.

Of the No Spill type batteries the Exide Orbital is the lowest cost but if I were to recommend one for CB amps it would be the Optima Yellow top deep cycle.

In my 99 windstar and I love them because of the reserve. And they are AGM and can be mounted in ANY position according to the maker. I have the big group 31 style. And yes, some makers build multiple label batteries. I had good luck in car audio with yellow tops, but there are MANY batteries now that are based on the same technology, and have MORE reserve, for same/less expense.
