OK, I have recently won a Cobra 200GTL at a raffle from my work. I wanted Mr. Radioactive to work on it, but he said he will not, he doesnt work on cobra radios. So then where can I get this thing tuned?? I was going to buy a Connex4600 Turbo from him, but got this Free Radio instead. Can someone help me here?? I live outside Chicago in NW Indiana. i was going to go to Steel-Rods @ I-65 xt. 205, anyone used him or heard of him??

Also, just wanted to know if someone can walk me thru the channel mod?? Is it the same as the 150GTL??? I was told to remove R138, thats it, is this correct???

Trade the radio on the connex you really want.
Than send it to Mr radio active. Even if it costs a little bit your miles ahead. Because you got what you really wanted. :06-17thu:

I did remove, now i'm on CB, but everyone says it is too weak, and these drivers were 1 mile down the road!! I hit the High Power button, they said it was a little better, but still not what I expected!!! Who is the best Cobra radio tech?? I will pay to have it do the deed, no problems there, but not $100 either.

Have you checked the buttons and K-nobs?
10 KHz control, off
4 bands, are you set up for AM? and Correct channel?
SWR calibration system, check your SWR with this, then turn it off.
6-digit frequency counter, for Ch 19 it should read 27.185
Variable power, wfo wide full? open, full clockwise
Antenna warning indicator, bad thing, hope it's not lit
Roger beep, if this is on, I wouldn't talk to you either, annoying
Talk-back & Echo controls, talkback on should tell you something, leave Echo down for now.
Large, full-function analog meter, what's it doing while your talking?
1-year warranty, send it back ask for a Connex / General Lee
