H/O 160 OEM Replacement ---Amp wire to alt. or Battery

I have my alt. in already and ran 2 gauge to the battery.Question is----is it better to run my 2 awg to my amp in the trunk off the battery or Direct from the alt.?Thanx

Run amp wire from battery post.

Run your equipment to the battery.

When you lose power or turn your car/truck off, you'll still be able to talk on the radio with amp this way.

Also, some alternators, when in use as the cars stock charging system, change voltage rapidly and can damage equipment. Batteries are a little slower at changing voltage in the event of a voltage drop.
