I purchased a D201 from someone who claimed that the radio would both receive and transmit and that he talked with a few people using the radio. When I received the radio, the power cord included was a different size and would not fit. Additionally, the power connector located in the rear of the radio was broken. I replaced the connector and got the proper cord. Now it does power up but appears to not receive at all. Upon inspecting the components, I did find fuse F600 was blown. This is the pigtail type fuse which is located on the Aux. Audio Board. Looking in the service manual, all it says about this fuse is that it is a failsafe device and if it should blow, the radio should be returned to a authorized factory service center.
Can anyone shed a little light on this??? What is the possible cause of this fuse blowing? What typically needs to be repaired/replaced when this happens? Any help would be much appreiated! THANKS
