I'm not easily impressed with new radios, I have been in radios since 1976, my first Cobra 29 was a 23 channel, but I am impressed with NorthpointNT3HP, HP stands for Hemi Powered Modulation, this radio has dual finals, blue LED's, Echo, adjustable talkback,,,,when I was looking to buy another radio for my Mini Van, I wanted a loud radio with front mic plug, dual finals was a plus, so I called one of the Best Radio Techs I know, Al @ Sparky's CB Shack, I told him what I was looking for, price range ect,, he highly recommended the NorthpointNT3HP," its a sleeper in the market", I hadn't even really look hard at this radio before, as I really didn't know much about Northpoints,,, I took Al at his word, and had him ship it to me, Al, peaked, Tuned and aligned this radio, all I had to do is get it hooked up, man does this radio talk!!!, One of the things I think truck drivers will really like is the face plate is a Plexa-glass cover type over the meter and Channel LED's, no dirt can get in that area, also has VOX Mic headset jack on side, for hands free operation, 3 power settings, Features listed on the web as:*AM,FM
*Vol,sq,mic gain,RF gain *Dual Finals 50w+ *Front mounted mic jack *VOX Mic headset jack on side*Dual Echo* Variable talk back panel.*Blue channel display & meter light*Band selector (6)*PWR Switch(hi, med, low)*SWR alert LED - *NEW* Auto SWR Cal (checks SWR)*ANL-NB*PA
Now mine is the 1st production run and all I can say, Man this thing talks!!
I want to again
Thank Al @ Sparky's for the fast service, ordered Friday and had it Monday morning,,,if you are looking for a new radio consider the
NorthpointNT3HP,,,I think its a hot radio!! Stan Wells did good on his design of this radio!
Pic is the radio mounted on the side of the passenger seat

By the time a guy buys a Cobra 29, has it peaked and tuned, adds an echo board, he'll have as much money in that,,as buying a new Northpoint, and not as much radio ,,LOL,,,I've been there

LOL watch what you say it may just curse you... this particular working man just happens to work about the same darn hours you do 99% of the time... heck if it weren't for the time zone difference I'd only be able to contact you after hours or while I'm at work!

Yes actually it is the same importer. The former importer of Cherokee imported the Northstar Radios, the company name was wireless marketing.
