Re: amps?
Hi, If it is the non-ambulance package it would be 105 amps. If you need more, you can buy the ambulance package alternators aftermarket that are up to 230 amps.

Re: amps?
We are a site sponsor, and we have specially engineered bolt in ultra-high output alternators for that truck.
200 amp ProPower unit is $299 shipped
250 amp Rhino series unit is $399 shipped
We use custom designed solid copper rectifiers, oversized charge posts, and HD regulators to survive radio abuse. Cheaper "high output" alternators don't have nearly as much low RPM output as our units do, and they use stock rectifiers which will overheat if used continously. Also, the larger output stud is necessary to make a proper connection capable of carrying 250 amps. You have to be carefull buying "high output" alternators from the parts store or e-bay, otherwise you end up with this: (other high output rectifier left, MechMan rectifier on the right)

The cheap price usually isn't cheap when it's all said and done. Been down that road.....Ebay 250 amp big cased GM alternator tested 150 amps...... The $230 was not worth it.

Re: amps?
Cheapest would probably be to scour junkyards and online salvage sites and try to score a dual alt set up (brackets) off a wrecked super duty with the same motor, and get another alternator to match the HO one you have. Beyond that you're probably going to have to start fabricating alternator brackets and possibly drive systems.

Re: amps?
That's what I've been doing with little success. I want to find the super duty with the ambulance package and just get those brackets and alt off. If its at least 110 amps that will be plenty.
