My bud has a Galaxy 99 and he refuses to go to RA (OK so we have established he is a MO-MO) any way some hack in Oklahoma working out of a van at the flying j did a peek and tune on his radio and "stabbed" the talk back and now his meter is swinging backwards any help on this y'all?

Just so I can better understand what your talking about (I am trying to learn a little about radios), what does it mean to "stab" the talkback?

I don't know what could possibly make a meter run backwards except a crossed wire on the meter itself (if that sounds stupid and basic it'sd because I, again, am just learning).

Snowman dont feel bad I am just as dumbfounded by it as you No wires are crossed on the meter for what it is worth. I dont think stabbing anything in a radio is good

I dont think so !

Not to sound like an A**hole but if this is a friend and he wont listen to your advise, cut him loose. There is only one place I would send a Galaxy radio and thats to Mike. You know that and I know that. I wouldnt even try to diagnose what could possibly be wrong as there are just so many things and it will need to go to a shop to fix it anyway.

Tell him to give the radio to you and when you have it fixed he has to pay for the repairs. Box that sick puppy up and send it to Mike. When It has been repaired and SuperWackPacked, give it back to him and collect the money. Then he wont have to worry about whats going on. And when He has that radio back ...................... well you know what thats like.
