Painting Magnetic Base

Most of the mag mount antennas I've seen have a chromed/shiny metal base, or a big logo painted on it. I'd like mine to blend in. Any harm in painting the base part of a magnetic mount antenna?

No, I had a black K 40 and painted it many years ago to match my truck, it worked fine
