Does anyone know of a nice vertical that's comparable to the A99 but aluminum instead of fiberglass? I was gung ho about to buy that Interceptor 10k until I saw the price. I'm looking for something that comes with a ground plane network if possible!
I'm really eyeing that imax, being a 5/8 wave. I would definately be getting a ground plane kit for it.
I really need to read up a lot at this point. I was told that an inverted vee had vertical polarization. Then I was told it has horizontal, then vertical again. I really just need a vertical to do my CB talkin'.
On another note, I picked up a D-104 at the hamfest today fro $25
Hmmmmm... I wonder how much better the Imax is than the A-99? Would it be a wise investment to switch? Or should I stick with my A-99???? Is the Imax 2000 a TVI monster like the A-99?
Stick with your A99. It's a good antenna. I haven't seen any TVI since I always run with a low pass filter, but I did fire up the cheap stereo, and it was coming through a LITTLE on it. I don't think I'm bleeding on the neighbors too much, and if I am, well damn.
