Note to self...Do not pledge your allegiance to any private clubs.

Well guys, I am done with the old pirate thing. I pledged my allegiance (by mistake), and held that allegiance (to save face) till there was nothing left to pledge too. (regretted pledges really suck)

Whew, I don't want to to that again.

This is what happened...early on in the pirate thing, I mistakenly submitted a "count me in" when asked if I was in or out. I thought something really fun was about to happen. As many of us know, trouble happened, and the club that I had pledged my allegiance to, called a boycott, then the private club essentially dissolved.

My apologies to those who may be offended by my leaving for a while. I was following orders that I mistakenly pledged into.

No more private clubs for me!

CB Radio Talk Only! so please don't ask.

Hey guys,

I'm gonna be out of town for a week starting Monday 11/6/06.
I'm gonna be doing some training at the largest coal fired power plant in the U.S.! It's the 3rd largest in the world, 3000 MegaWatts.

If I can figure out where to put the microphone, and how to connect one of the smoke stacks as an antenna, I'll be doing some serious skip! regardless of "conditions"!

The down side is that I will be gone when the FATBOY 3pill, that I won on RadioRaffle.com, arrives.

3000 MegaWatts!!!!!!

Thats purdy big. LOL.

Have fun SmallTruck!

I'll make sure your 3 pill arrives safe and sound. I'll even test it out for you. My testing procedures only take about 6 months so you'll have it back in no time.

Hey Guys,

I'm back. All trained up and ready to go.

Whew! That Power Plant is huge. The fans that blow air through the boiler are 3) three, 9000) Nine thousand horsepower motors driving squirrel cage blowers.

They built a 3000 acre lake to supply their cooling water. It actually supports a flock of seagulls!

The FATBOY 1x2 that I won on RadioRaffle.com came in while I was gone, and I'm hoping to try it out this morning.

9000 hp

I can't imagine how big that place is. Wow.

Glad to be back.

On the fans, that's three, 9000hp motors, pulling on one end of the boiler, plus I think there is three 2000hp motors blowing in.
One of the five generators uses 35 Megawatts of power to run its equipment to then produce its 600 Megawatts.

I'm still having trouble getting email reminders of post activity. Bozo offered to help, I think I'll have to take him up on it. The problem appears to be on my PC. So, until then, I may miss some replies.

The training was quite nice. I've been kinda busy ever since. This job is crazy busy and mistakes can be very expensive. I still manage to get on the air once in a while.

I took the SWP General Lee on a trip in the family car recently, and it even commands respect "barefoot". cool
