too much skip

It is nice if your wanting to shoot skip but it gets rough trying to talk to the locals at times.It can be a double edge sword

I know what you mean! I've heard just about every state from Colorado and east. West of there hasn't been popping up at all except one from Arizona I heard last week. The majority has been the east coast and Canada around here.

Well we had some good conditions up this way today. Talked to a couple folks in South Carolina, and a feler in Georgia. Going to go watch the sun set on the big lake and try to talk some more. It doesn't help that I'm loosing my voice though.

Just got done running to the store and man Florida was the only thing I heard on every channel. I tried to make some contacts but no luck. I think I need a bigger box or a huge station!

If i ever get a chance this weekend I'll go find a HIGH mountain and see if i can touch someone . But 915 has been really active during the morning . i had 1 guy come in from east tx and just buried my needle . thought he was close but faded in and out after the big burst of power he had .

Tonight I am listening to Mobile, AL sitting here in Carlisle, PA on CH 6. Also the other night I was driving across Wisconsin listening to the CB shop on CH 5 in West Memphis, AR on ch 19. One of these days I will find the right conditions (including having the right equipment) to talk back to some of the skip talkers. Definitely sounds different than the trash on 19
