A nice mix of the old and new

I'm going to add a new member to my cb family this afternoon. I'm stopping off to buy a Sonar FS23 tube base radio. Coupled with my Sonar BR-21 amp and either the Silver or Golden Eagle, this radio is going to SCREAM audio. Its been completely refurbished with new tubes, align, tune, and peak. I heard it barefoot last night and man, all I can say is AAAAAUUUUUDDDDDDIIIIIOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

So, now my base setup is going to have a nice mix of the old and new with the Sonar stuff, Galaxy 95T, 2995DX, and all the D104's. Time to make some more adjustments to the signature!!!

That's for sure. I couldn't believe how good the radio sounded barefoot. With the matching amp for it (the br-21) and a D104, Wheeeewwww...

There's a guy on the north side of Chicago here that does the work on tube radios. He fixed up this one. He's like RA, he doesn't quit until its perfect.

I hope so! It'll have to wait a few days for the D104's to be delivered and rewired. The Fs23 doesn't have a normal mic jack. It uses a 1/4" headphone jack. I thought that was interesting.

The D104 Silver Eagle was delivered today. Its wired with a 5 pin plug. Bummer, none of my radios are 5 pin. All 4 or 6 pin radios. Gonna wire it to a 1/4" phone jack tomorrow anyway. Gotta get that new Sonar FS-23 up and running.
