hey guys, happy Independence day..my question is would puttting a groundplane up on a pole mounted to a chimney be sufficient for some decent talk range.. we' talkng probably 25-40 feet total..?looking at getting one of those palomar amp/power supply mix and running a mobile off it...still looking at that general lee for a mobile, but might put that one on the house and keeping the cobra 29 classic in the car.suggestions?

HAVE A SAFE 4TH OF JULY, SUNDANCE 832 IN THE GRASS..

The higher you can get, the better. But if comming off the roof is what you got, its still higher than a mobile ! Hight is might !

I have my A-99 on a ten foot mast on my chimney. The base is at 25 feet. I've talked a whole bunch of skip on it already. It would be nice to go higher, but where it is now is it.
