Post by Irishman »

Hey I was wondering if it was possible to wire a Turner Super Sidekick to a Cobra 140GTL. How do I go about doing this?
Thanks :)

Hi Irishman,
I am pretty sure that the 140GTL needs a 6 wire mic, Turner made a switch kit for the Sidekick. You could give this a try but it might squeal because the audio ground and switching ground should be separate.
pin 1 - audio or white wire
pin 2 - shield
pin 3 - receive or red wire
pin 4 - shield
pin 5 - transmit or black wire
you will need to jumper pin 2 and 4 in the mic connector
set the switch on the bottom of mic to electronic switching (switch to the back of mic)
