Cobra High Gear Mics are "Junk" !

What is the model number of the mic that come with the new radios?
It seems they are better quality than the " High Gear" replacement mics.
I need to purchase a new mic for my bare bones 29 classic and need some direction.

Hi Jim,

Aries makes a Mic that is the exact duplicate of the older style that Cobra Mics used to be. In fact, I think this company used to make the Mics for Cobra back in the day. If you are an old timer you know what Mike I am talking about. I will have to post a photo on my website by this weekend.

You are right the new Cobra mics are worse than crap.

Myself, I dont like those new High Gear Cobra mics either.I got one with a Cobra 135XLR off of ebay.I kept the plug and tossed the mic in the trashcan.I prefer the older coffin shaped mics from back in the day.They fit my hand better.

I agree, the coffin style mic, is a wayyyy better mic.
