DRIVER SIDE OR PASSENGER SIDE???????

i keep hearing people saying to mount my antenna on the driver side mirror mount of a big truck and people saying to mount my antenna on the passenger side mirror mount of a big truck...................

which side is really better to mount it on and why????????

Check out this link.....If you put it on passenger side you broadcast forward and to the driver side more which will be more to on coming traffic. If you mount it on the drivers side you will transmit more to the passenger side and forward. I have mine on the drivers side only because I drive in an area where I in counter a lot of low hanging limbs and I am trying to avoid having antenna damaged. Theoretically in the dead center and as high as possible is best.

BEST place would be dead center and high on top of or behind the cab of the truck. Next would be passenger side, which would throw your signal front and back to the left as you transmit. Reason is that unless you're in England, the traffic coming from the opposite direction is to your left side.

As stated in the post above though, the passenger side tends to catch a lot of tree branches, etc... thus the mounting to the driver's side mirror.
