Anyone have a link to a manual for a Turner Roadking 60 Mic? Need to find out what battery it takes.

It takes a 7v battery, However, you can use a 12v garage door remote type battery in it...All you will need to do is bend the progs a little to fit the battery. I've used the 12v batterys in the Turner 60's, 70's, and the M+2/U's and they work just fine.

Re: Turner RK60
I looked in batterys plus website at the durmn175b and it is one of the small flat chrome camera batterys. Not what I am looking for. I guess I will take it in to them and see what they have.

Re: Turner RK60
it looks like that from the pic
its the way the pic was taken but it is the right battery
i just bought one 2 weeks ago for a cobra dynamike plus and it takes the same one
and there is a few different mics that take that same battery
find a store near you or call them
the battery is 1 inch long
if you take the back or the battery back off it should say 7.5v

Re: Turner RK60
OK guys, I just did get the Duracell 175 battery. I took it to the truck a minute ago and hooked it up. It started buzzing bad every-time i keyed up the mic with and without the battery in. The guy said it was for a cobra. I have a uniden 78 elite. I hooked back up the stock mike and everything is OK again. So what's up? Any help? If I had my cobra 29 here I would try it.

Re: Turner RK60
sounds like it may be wired for another type radio. the uniden is the same as a cobra. you might even look inside the mic plug and make sure there is not any wires touching the metal plug. this can cause problems also. the white wire goes to pin 2 the shield goes to pin 2 .forget the color for tx and receive for this mic/
the mic wire as
1--shield
2--audio
3- transmit
4-receive.

looked up the wiring for the turner. see if this is the same on yours.

Re: Turner RK60
You may have to open the mic up and check to see if it is wired for relay switching, patscavalier posted the CB Trick site and they are wired inside two different ways.
