Is there a way to adjust the tension on the grip to talk bar on a D-104? Mine is so weak that it won't stay out and without a shim of some sort in between it and the stalk it will key itself. It has both the base PTT and the grip bar , so I have just shimmed out the grip bar for now and use the base PTT. But was wondering if there was a way to adjust the tension on it.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
The spring bracket on the grip bar is replaceable but I think the problem is more in the PTT switch. That bar is very heavy and that spring gets weak. Also check the grip lock is down as far as it can go. Finding the parts are going to be the problem.

You could just buy a new/used stand off ebay for little of nothing and stick your Mic head on it...
