All in all I am impressed with the radio now. The radio is paired with a Sirio Tornado 27 5/8 wave and power microphone and really is an outstanding performer.

I sent my base radio, Galaxy DX 2547 in to be tuned. Was out for about 6 weeks but the wait was well worth it. Had the radio tuned for a bit more power on AM and SSB along with audio improvements. Replaced the receiver mods with better setup for increase sensitivity and made it quieter. Also had the clarifier tuned.
All in all I am impressed with the radio now. The radio is paired with a Sirio Tornado 27 5/8 wave and power microphone and really is an outstanding performer.

Good news, yes a quality peak and tune really perks those radio up and gets the on frequency.
