Don't know what to get a good 5/8 wave like maco v58 or there 4 element beam just don't know..

hard decision, upgrade your verticale....Or put up a beam...

If the a99 is pretty new I would go with the beam..if it's all old and crackly I would go with the Maco...

yeah its old its showing fiberglass i found maco 5/8 wave for 99 with shipping may just get the maco 5/8 wave.

yea, them maco's are some nice ground planes.. I tihnk you will like the upgrade.. save them beams for a later project...

Na seriously. I would replace the 99 with a 5/8's first.

Then later on at some point in time get the beam.

I want to put up a small 3-4 element beam and run it flatside. BUT I would never want a beam is my only antenna. I would have to have a good omni-directional to run the majority of the time and the beam for when the skip is rolling or you just feel like blasting someone

I think I am going to try stacking a set of maco y quads on my next anteeny project..
