Hey everyone I will be delivering an airplane from Grand Junction Colorado to Naples Flarida tomorrow. My proposed departure time is 10 MDT. Not sure if will make that as there is more work to do to the the airplane in the morning. The radio in the plane wont operate on LSB so I will be on 39 USB. Will try and make a post for a real time in the morning but not sure if I can make that happen. The flight will be almost 5 hours long so hope to hear some of you in there.

Hey,
It was fun trying to figure out which plane it was using Flight Tracker but your plane was registered private so it didn't show. I yelled several times as did a bunch on the other forum, made a few contacts with them but you were a no go. Better luck next time.

I got airborne about 2;15 on Fri. After a few minutes started calling. Got no response, about all I heard most of the afternoon was south of the border. Across Oklahoma did pick up a local and had a ground contact from Page OK to Wichita KS. After I got over the pan handle of Florida I picked up 545 Mike at Kennedy Space Center. As I was descending I heard 321 Glenn Australia. For an afternoon aloft not many contacts. Maybe there will be another time and will have a radio that will work on LSB, until then we keep trying the old fashion way. Thanks to all those who shouted.

i searched thru the forum about CB's and airplanes and found this old thread.
so, who all has had experience with CB's in planes?
i suppose the rules say we cant do that but, i knew in the old days of one piper cub that had a cb.
guess what his handle was??,, "airplane, airplane" haha,
i would think a small antenna mounted on the underside of the plane would work. or topside. would have to experiment. how bout it guys, whats you experience?
