Skip was on for hours tonight! Made bunch of contacts. Where were all you guys. Come on man. It's still on 1010 pm.

Update: Skip still on 1145 pm. Two dudes bragging about their radios on 38 LSB. 17 am rolling all night too. Contacted Seattle, Monterey Bay, hawaii.

Exciting stuff. I had just hooked up my new President Mckinley radio and got rewarded with my first skip contacts. Around 8 pm it was really strong.

Silver Bullet in Tennessee was loud and clear on Channel 28 and gave me a wave back. Also heard 603 out of Northern Vermont, and a bunch of other conversations on 17.

nothing last night, but have conditions this morning out of the East on 28...Jesse James in Dallas and I just got up!

Finally died off about 1230 am. Never had evening skip before. 8 hours, still excited.

Skip is rolling again. Just talked to some nice guys in Indiana.

Dead quiet here in Australia - lots of QRM & QRN and that's all we have here.

I've just got lots of noise on 37 LSB right now - All of 1 -> 40 is just noise in this part of the world at present

I was using a President McKinley this weekend, talked to guys across the country on AM and SSB. If you have a good antenna and good conditions I think you will be surprised.

The skip the last couple of days is coming from the earth passing through space debris (they are saying meteor shower) left by Haley's Comet centuries ago, enjoy the skip while it lasts, it will be gone soon.

Guess it's gone now. Had some skip today on 6, 17, 38. Not as exciting as past couple days. Fun while it lasted.

Opened up again last night. Lots of action on 17 and 28. I could hear lots of folks very well, but no one gave me a wave back. Must be I don't have enough juice to get up and over all the noise when things are busy.

Crazy skip last night,it kept going until about 6:30 pm. I heard Nevada,Kentucky,Oregon and Northern Cal. for a brief moment Hawaii.

well its saterday morning on 38L, , 5-6-17 and skipland is good and noisy this morning, hearing conditions fading in and out ling enough to get numbers and some chatting done, from AZ i'm hearing AZ,TX,OK,MO and sombody yellin from San Paleo, (Brazil??) and then others that dont give location. seems like this last day or 2 has been the best conditions since january.

Ghost land on the radio. Only "sssssssssssssssssssssssssss"

On 28 I got a nice copy and wave from "Spark Plug" in Tampa FL, "Slow Poke" in Charleston, "Bad Apple" in Georgia, and a few others.

Try it this afternoon. Cloudy and rainy here, I am getting skip on almost every channel. No luck getting anyone to copy back though...must be my barefoot radio can't get up over all the competing signals.
