Navaho TRC-431 repair questions / service manual?

I have a TRC-431 that needs a few repairs. First it only has .5 watts output on any channel. Thinking it is the final I ordered what I believe to be correct (NTE235). It also has a stuck dB meter and also some searching says to replace the tantalum caps in this to prevent it from burning down the house. So I figured I would see if I can get this unit back up and running and wondered if anyone had a service manual or knew what the various VR adjustments did, as I don't want to just start turning pots. I figure that the pot on the power supply is to adjust the voltage which I assume is straight up 12V?

Thanks for any suggestions on this project as my background is mainly in PC repair, but very interested in saving these old CB radios that are heavier than a brick and thick on the chrome.

hello LT, always use the search feature to find specific posts related to your TRC-431. it will pull up all it has.
welcome to CBRT, and as a newbie, we always like to know everything about you, so fill in the blanks for us(and your avitar)
and as always, your SS number and bank accts, wifes maiden name, number of kids, dogs name,,,
i dont have a trc431. but it sounds like its worth fixin.

If the radio is what I call a "Keeper" you should get a copy of the Sam's Photofact CB Radio Series (CB-237).

Found the CB-237. Just ordered it, looking forward to getting it hopefully later this week.
