Connex 3400HP the channel and band keep scanning

Picked up a Connex CX-3400HP when you turn it on the channel indicator and band indicator start to scan and you can hear it in the speaker just like it is in a scanning mode , you cant make it stop by moving any of the knobs , Any body have any ideas

Hmm, an interesting problem. Scan isn't a feature with the radio so I would look at the conversion to 11m. Unplug the conversion module and see it the radio goes back to normal except it won't TX/RX on the CB band. Could be dirty contacts, cold solder joint, to a bad or broken PC board.

yes scan mode isn't a feature and I did unplug the module no difference will do some more checking

I was hoping it was something simple but I'd start looking over the back (solder side) of the board for a cold solder joint, that would be my next step.

try pulling out the channel knob some times they dig into the face and stop turning correct
