Transmitter adjustments and modulation controls

I have read a Little about these topics and am wondering what the L, T, Q, RV, V letters mean followed by the numbers. I know how to find them on the board but I was just curious about what the letters themselves mean.

TR/T/Q usually a transistor
D is a diode
R is a resistor
VR is a variable resistor (aka potentiometer)
L is usually a coil or some other form of inductor

and so on..
