Galaxy DX 2547 Frequency Counter Question
My Galaxy DX 2547 Frequency Counter jumps from the channel number I am on, like 27.025, after the radio has been on awhile to a 10.6950 number. This frequency number stays on no matter what channel I am on after that. After I turn the radio off awhile the Frequency Counter resets? Anyone else have this problem and suggestions please.

Re: Galaxy DX 2547 Frequency Counter Question
Check the solder joints around the mixing crystal (10.6950). It is reading just this crystal when it warms up , that tells me there is a bad contact. You can find a schematic and block diagram on CB Tricks, it is the same board as the Galaxy 949/959DX models.

Re: Galaxy DX 2547 Frequency Counter Question
I have no idea regarding how to fix this and since my cataract operation at our local VA my eye sight is such I would not even try! The channels seem to work OK and I can hear transmissions fine SOoooooo, I guess I well just learn to live with it. Planning to put up my new antenna once it is delivered later this week.
