Magnum mod?

Hi there,
I just joined and was after some help with the magnum deltaforce I just bought.

I regularly use a forum over here in the UK and think getting in on this type of forum will be very interesting esp for info on making the trip accross the water!! your freq - mode - times etc.

Anyway,
The Delta force I just got doesnt have the revised CPU reset board so I need to do the manual mod to open the freq up.

Does anyone know how to tell wether you need to add the 47K resistor?
(not needed on newer rigs).
Also the 0 ohm diode isnt fitted on my version.

It says that on newer models the resistor and diode arent needed. But presumably since people with newer radio's are performing this mod that some of the "newer" radio's havent got the CPU reset board either.
My radio is a few years old but absolutely mint cond, with all packaging and acc's. The only mod it has had is the factory approved modification which enables the clarifier to net the transmit frequency onto the received frequency for greater control.
Im just looking for a clear option as would like to get on 11mtrs before the skip hits here again,

ANY help or advice much appreciated. (im sick of scouring the web).
