RCI 2995DX = cbradio?

At Mr RA's site I see this base station, only it says 10 14 meter. Are these to be mod'd to 11 meter or should I be looking at a Texas Ranger TR-696FSSB. Also I cant find if it has a recorder jack like the TR does. I want watergates direct (not from an external mic)

Is there a beter base rig?
