What a lousy Christmas!
What a lousy Christmas!
Saturday before Christmas Eve at 10:00pm my wife got sick with an extremely bad stomach ache and vomiting.
Christmas Eve at 3:30pm its off to the emergency room...
Christmas Eve at 10:00pm, its off to surgery for apendicitis and to get her apendix removed.
Spent all day yesterday at the hospital. Going to spend probably most of today at the hospital.
We missed out on her family's Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve and my family's get together on Christmas day.
Spent the last two nights sleeping in a chair.
She should come home today some time. We'll finally get to open our presents today hopefully.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas!!!

I came back home here for a little while to take a shower and shave. My wife called from the hospital (6:50am). The surgeon came in and gave her the go ahead to be discharged. Wooo Hooooo! I get to sleep in an actual bed tonight!
By the way, the surgery went fine. The wife is 10-8. A week of relaxation and me playing house maid and we should get back to normal.

Bob, sounds to me like you had a fantastic Christmas!!! Yea, the timing was sort of bad...but when isn't it? I'm glad the wife is doing okay.
Most folks bounce right back after that surgery, but not me. It took me literally a year (for the most part) to be back to 100%. I thought for sure the doc left his Rolex in my gut. ( ) And I was only 38 at the time. So tell your wife it takes what it takes to recover...and trust what her body is telling her, not others. Just a suggestion BTW.
