Pro-433 Manual Frequencies

Hi Guys,

My friend loaned me her scanner....it's a Radio Shack Pro-433...the manual is here: [Please login or register to view this link]

I've read it and messed around with the radio all night and can't figure out how to manually enter any frequencies. I figured out how to go to a pre-programmed channel, but every time I hit the scan/manual button and try to enter something like 856.1250, nothing happens. There really is no enter key after typing in the frequencies. There is a button labeled E, but if I hit that after entering the numbers, it pops up with an error.

Anyone experienced out there know what I am doing wrong?

The only thing I can think of is maybe the scanner won't accept that particular frequency, or maybe try pressing the scan button after entering the number. That's how my Uniden works.
